The panorama of Lonesome Mountain from Golden Lake is gorgeous. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Clarks Fork Yellowstone River is a splendid whitewater spot close to Golden Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Golden Lake has to offer, you can camp at Beartooth Lake Campground. All the outdoors fun things in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back again and again. There       is a brilliant hiking trail close to Golden Lake called the Beartooth Highlakes Trail, and a lake close by is Abandoned Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Golden Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Top Of The World Campground is a pleasant site for that, and going for a hike on the Beauty Lake Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Golden Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here;                  October is the month with the least moisture. Golden Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Red Lodge Mountain, and you can go for a hike on the Upper Granite Loop Trail. After a long day outdoors Yodeler Motel is a fine site to spend a night or two, and Arrowhead Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. For the duration of the days of summer here at Golden Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 30's.
