Good hiking is available along the BLue Mountain Nature Trail NRT; Glacier Lake is a site with many visitors from Missoula. If you need a location to stay Hubbards Ponderosa Lodge is a delightful choice, and Marshall Mountain has perfect slopes and a friendly staff. For the period of the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Glacier Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down       into the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Glacier Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. Whitewater paddling is good on Mill Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Blue Mountain Equestrian and Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is beautiful, you obtain a good vista of Mosquito Peak from Glacier Lake; splendid skiing awaits you at Montana Snowbowl. Glacier Lake                  gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. If you came to camp St Mary's Motel is a fine spot to do that; a pleasant journey to Grant Creek Basin is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. A fine close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Missoula-Riverside, Mt, and if you get bored of Glacier Lake you could also stop by nearby Big Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Glacier Lake.
