For the period of the days of summer at Glacier Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's with overnight lows in the 30's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Glacier Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Lakes? Sure, Glacier Lake is close at hand; hiking is a popular thing to do around Glacier Lake; Beartooth Highlakes Trail is a perfect local trail. Glacier Lake is one of the lakes       here in the Absaroka Range. So many enjoyable things to do in the Absaroka Range, not sufficient time. Spirit Mountain can be seen from Glacier Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Clay Butte Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Little Glacier Lake is a tremendous lake next to Glacier Lake, and Red Lodge Mountain is a great local ski area. Paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Glacier Lake that you need                  to camp here for a while, Long Lake Campground is a delightful place for that. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Good hiking is available along the Beauty Lake Trail; you can stay the night at Island Lake Campground. From a precipitation point of view Glacier Lake is a quite typical location; most of the rain falls through June, and the driest of the months is October. This place, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors amusing things.
