Gilbert Lake is a location that is reasonably dried out ordinarily; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Gilbert Lake is not the only location nearby, John Lake is a nearby lake; close to Gilbert Lake you come across a golf course called Mountain Crossroads Restaurant & Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here       at Gilbert Lake you can take a hike along the Columbia Mountain Trail, and if you came to camp Lake Blaine Resort Campground is a brilliant spot to do that. Any time is a splendid time at Gilbert Lake if you go for the outdoors. Hiking along the Doris Creek Trail is glorious fun, and if you need a site to stay Glacier Park Super 8 Motel is a pleasant choice. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Gilbert Lake. If you get bored of Gilbert Lake, you could also visit close by Swimming Lake, and of course, all our national parks are perfect places to visit and Glacier National Park is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Brown Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and the nice folks of Kalispell like to hang out close by. There are some great whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork, and great water scenery is available at Jessup Mill Pond Dam in the vicinity of Gilbert Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Swan River. There's so much to do here at Gilbert Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beautiful Lake Blaine Resort is a great location for that. Dry warm beds await you at Bad Rock B&B, and a splendid place is Brown Gulch. Throughout the summer here at Gilbert Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's.
