Montana has many beautiful lakes and Giefer Lake is one of them. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Giefer Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Lewis Range. There's so much to do here at Giefer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Summit Campground is a good site for that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Flathead River - Middle Fork. a pleasant choice, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Spruce Park Moose Lake Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Mount Bradley Trail, and don't forget to take a glorious
little trip to Cascade Creek. And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing stuff to do in the Lewis Range. Lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Moose Lake close to Giefer Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Bear
Creek offers some great whitewater. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Giefer Lake; most of the snow falls through December while April is usually the driest month.
