Gibson Reservoir is ordinarily a quite dried up location; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Fairview Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; some of the water nearby flows, like Beaver Creek. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. If you came for an overnight       stay Mortimer Gulch Campground is a fine place to camp, and an exciting thing to have a look at in the neighborhood of Gibson Reservoir is Gibson Dam. Summer at Gibson Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Gibson Reservoir dip into the 10's. You'll in fact wish for more                  hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Lewis Range. That right there is heaps of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Lewis Range has it all. Have a great hiking adventure along the Mortimer Gulch National Recreation Trail, and while you're here at Gibson Reservoir it's a great idea to take a look at Green Timber Basin. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. Home Gulch Campground is a fine local campground, and you might also want to pay a visit to Blacktail Gulch while you're here at Gibson Reservoir.
