It's always fun to stop by George Lake. At George Lake during the summertime highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's. There's so much to do here at George Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Alva Campground is a splendid spot for that, and there's whitewater on Flathead River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people.
Fisher Peak can be spotted from George Lake, and the Morrell Falls National Recreation Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Lewis Range. There
are other places here than George Lake, for example Koessler Lake, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Holland Gordon Trail.
