Stay the night at East Fork Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge. George Lake gets very little precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from George Lake, you'll find Spruce Lake which is a pretty lake, and Spillway Campground is a great campground nearby. Lakes are good; East Fork Reservoir is a lake       that's close to George Lake, and hiking along the Hi Line Trail is magnificent fun. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Discovery Ski, and going for a hike along the Black Pine Ridge Trail Number 6 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Throughout the warm months highs here at George Lake reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. All through the winter this place                  gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at George Lake fall into the 10's.
