And that's not all you can do here in the Lewis Range. Here at Gem Lake you can distinguish Edwards Mountain, and soar down the rapids of Flathead River - Middle Fork in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Snyder Lake Trail is great fun, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Mary Baker Lake is one of those close by. Glacier National Park       is a fine local destination here at Gem Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Sprague Creek Campground is a brilliant site to camp. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Gem Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Gem Lake during the winter mostly sink into the 10's. You truly should adore Gem Lake. While you're here at Gem                  Lake you can take a hike along the Avalanche Trail, and Comeau Pass is another wonderful site to visit nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Avalanche Basin is a fine place here at Gem Lake; if you've had enough of Gem Lake, Upper Snyder Lake is nearby. Going for a hike along the Gunsight Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and dry warm beds await you at Glacier Park Super 8 Motel. A short spree to Akaiyan Falls is always worthwhile. Gem Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most snow, and April on the other hand is the driest. Just can't get enough of the Lewis Range.
