There's so much to do here at Gates Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Scenic Waterfalls Campground is a brilliant spot for that, and don't leave Gates Lake without first going for a hike along the Chinese Wall Trail. Everybody loves Gates Park; you can go for a hike on the Bowl Divide Trail. During the summer months, highs typically are in the 70's at Gates Lake, and       during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Gates Lake. The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful. Gates Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, West Fork Campground is a great local campground. All year is a great time in the Lewis Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. There's some flowing water nearby, Dryden Creek is a stream you can have a look                  at while here, and there's great hiking along the Rock Creek Trail.
