     While you're here at Garnet Lake you can take a hike along the Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail, naturally you could also check out Tepee Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Visit Cleft Creek since you're here at Garnet Lake; the Numa Ridge Lookout Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flathead River - Middle Fork; if you need a spot to stay Kandahar Lodge is a pleasant  
   choice. During the summertime, highs regularly are in the 80's at Garnet Lake while overnight lows are frequently in the 40's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's while Garnet Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's.
Garnet Lake is a location that is reasonably dried out commonly; most of the rain falls through June, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's just no way someone can get bored here
 
               at Garnet Lake. Camping at Mud Creek Campground is always a good experience, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Akokala Lake Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Miller Lake is in the neighborhood of Garnet Lake, and Garnet Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Kintla Lake Campground is a nice local campground.
