Frosty Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Island Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. Having a splendid time in the Absaroka Range is painless. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Goat Lake in close proximity to Frosty Lake, and if the weather is pretty, you obtain a fine panorama of Beartooth Mountain from Frosty Lake. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Absaroka Range. Get       yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Sheep Lake. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Frosty Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Frosty Lake; Beauty Lake Trail is a magnificent local trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Red Lodge Mountain. The Clay Butte Trail offers hiking at its best; you need to visit Beartooth Glacier if you're here. Throughout the days of                  summer highs here at Frosty Lake reach the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Frosty Lake.
