This lake is so wonderful. Frosty Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Island Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. Having a splendid time in the Absaroka Range is painless. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Goat Lake in close proximity to Frosty Lake, and if the weather is pretty, you obtain a fine panorama of Beartooth Mountain from Frosty Lake. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Absaroka Range. Get

| | yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Sheep Lake. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Frosty Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Frosty Lake; Beauty Lake Trail is a magnificent local trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Red Lodge Mountain.
