You'll meet a lot of folks from Helena here, and hiking along the Upper Whitetail Park Trail is nice fun. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Frog Pond. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's while Frog Pond nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. You'll wish for more hours       in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Frog Pond. Holiday Inn Express Butte (Parkside), Mt is a good location to get some rest; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Boulder River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Mormon Gulch Campground is a tremendous spot to do that, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Sweeney Creek Ecology Trail. Some of the water nearby flows, like Bison Creek, and after a long day outdoors Butte                  War Bonnet Hotel is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. Frog Pond is regularly a relatively dry site; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Mormon Gulch is near Frog Pond and is a glorious place, and the summit of Fox Mountain can be seen from Frog Pond.
