There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone; a pleasant place to camp here at Frenco Lake is Colter Campground. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Frenco Lake. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Big Timber is a good spot to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, Stillwater River offers some good whitewater. And if that's not enough       there's a lot more exciting stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Lakes are great; Brown Lake is a lake that's right next door to Frenco Lake. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. Near Frenco Lake you find the Crazy Lakes Trail which is a good hiking trail, and camping at Woodbine Campground is always a delightful experience. Frenco Lake gets very little rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This                  lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Beckwourth Lake, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Pilot Creek Trail. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Frenco Lake get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Frenco Lake.
