Do stop by Fred Burr Lake while you're in this part of Montana. Fred Burr Lake Dam is stunning and it's near Fred Burr Lake, and glorious skiing awaits you at Lost Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Fred Burr Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Schumaker Campground is a good spot for that; Angler's Lodge is a pleasant place to get some rest. So many cool things to do in the Bitterroot Range, not enough time. Why not stop

| | at close by Frog Creek while you're here at Fred Burr Lake, and a beautiful lake like Heinrich Lake is a perfect place to explore.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit White Sand Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Saint Mary Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Big Sand Creek.

lows are frequently in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Fred Burr Lake are in the 10's. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Bitterroot Range. A good nearby hotel
is Remlc's City Center Motel Annex, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Fred Burr Lake; Ward Mountain Trail is a great local trail.
A common amount of rain falls here at Fred Burr Lake; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is frequently the driest month.
