     Park Lake Campground is a brilliant local campground, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Great Divide. It is very arid here at Forest Lake frequently; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Places like Frohner Basin are good to take a look at, and a pleasant view of gorgeous Spruce Hills is available. Going for a hike along the Sweeney Creek Ecology Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty  
   of this vicinity; Best Western Helena Great Northern Hotel is a pleasant spot to get some rest.
So many amusing things to do at Forest Lake, so little time. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Helena, Mt is a fine choice, and if you've had enough of Forest Lake, Quartz Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Chessman Saddle Dam is a charming spot near Forest Lake; Tenmile Campground is a great campground nearby. During your tour to Forest Lake you'll
 
               meet some folks from Helena for sure, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Mount Helena National Recreation Trail.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Forest Lake. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Forest Lake. If the weather is magnificent here at Forest Lake, you can go for a hike along the Bear Gulch Trail, obviously you could also take a look at Park Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling near Forest Lake is Boulder River.

The MOUNT BELMONT Chairlift to the summit opens up over 80 trails suitable to more advanced enthusiasts. Some of these trails have been here for more than fifty years. Big drifts and sudden drops make the main mountain a perfect playground on the snow. Traditional tree lined trails for turning left and right are rare.
RAWHIDE GULCH is the remote side of the mountain featuring cliffs, cornices, chutes, and glades......and the tremendous expanse of THE BIG OPEN. When you venture into RAWHIDE GULCH often the only other people you see are the ones that came here with you. The RAWHIDE GULCH Chairlift quickly returns you to the main mountain at the end of your expedition.
