The beauty of Fly Lake attracts many people from all around. You could also stop at Star Dust Lake while you're here at Fly Lake; it's nearby; there's good hiking along the Pilot Creek Trail. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a perfect place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Fly Lake has to offer, you can camp at Colter Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Fly Lake; Thunderer Cutoff Trail is a pleasant local trail. Fly Lake is ordinarily a quite dehydrated spot; most of the rain falls during May while February is usually the driest month. Fly Lake is located in the Absaroka Range.

All through the summertime months at Fly Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and the night is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows at Fly Lake
through the wintertime regularly fall into the 10's. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Stillwater River,
and wonderful hiking is available along the Republic Trail. So much enjoyable stuff close to Fly Lake, absolutely tremendous. Fly Lake is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Soda Butte Campground is a fine location to camp nearby, and Courthouse Mountain is a peak you can catch a sight of from Fly Lake.
