Whitewater paddling is nice on Moyie River; you can stay the night at Copper Creek Campground. Summertime highs at Lake Florence generally tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 30's while Lake Florence nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Red Top Creek       Campground is a great campground nearby, and good hiking is available along the Copper Creek Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Lake Florence. Yaak River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, naturally you could also explore Hidden Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Florence gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain;                  the driest month is July. Lake Florence is not the only site close by, Hawkins Lakes is a close by lake, and don't leave Lake Florence without first going for a hike along the Ruby Ridge Trail. If you need a place to stay Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a perfect choice; hey, Aster Creek is a good local stream.
