In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mulherin Creek, and Sheep Mountain is painless to spot from Five Lakes. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. The Rescue Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; a magnificent nearby hotel is Yellowstone Park North Travelodge. This lake is so wonderful. Yellowstone       River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by, and Five Lakes is right by the Beaver Lakes Loop Trail. At Five Lakes you don’t see much precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. So much amusing stuff to do at Five Lakes, so little time. Eagle Creek Campground is a delightful campground nearby. Five Lakes is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Rocky Mountain Campground is a nice                  place to camp nearby, and if you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Yellowstone North is a great choice. The warmest time of the year at Five Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Five Lakes.
