If you like lakes and you're in this part of Montana you can check out Fishtrap Lake. Fishtrap Lake is located in the Cabinet Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Willow Creek Campground, and there's whitewater on Vermilion River for all you adrenaline junkies. Fishtrap Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; July is when it's the driest.

| | run into during your stay; camping at Fishtrap Campground is always a wonderful experience. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Cabinet Mountains has to offer. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a tremendous choice, and great hiking is available along the Daisy Creek Trail. There are pleasant sites to explore along the West Fork Fishtrap Trail, and the summit of Wee Peak can be spotted from Fishtrap Lake.

Having a magnificent time in the Cabinet Mountains is easy. But wait, there's more to do close to Fishtrap Lake. A pleasant visit to Jefferson Meadows is a glorious way to spend an afternoon, and you can go for a hike on the Thompson
River Mount Headley Trail. High temperatures at Fishtrap Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, generally in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Fishtrap Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
