A lake nearby is Sundown Lake, and a splendid site to camp here at Fish Lake is Hells Canyon Campground. Any time is a splendid time at Fish Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. While you're here at Fish Lake you can take a hike along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail, and don’t forget to check out Lake Plateau since you're here at Fish Lake. High temperatures at Fish Lake through the warm       days of summer are in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Fish Lake drop into the 10's. So many exciting things to do in the Absaroka Range, not sufficient time. Lake Mountain is a peak you can spot from Fish Lake. This spot, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors exciting things. Get your pulse rate up on                  the good whitewater of Boulder River, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Republic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Big Timber is a great choice; there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Lodgepole Trail. Why not camp at Hicks Park Campground since you're here at Fish Lake, needless to say you could also stop by Pipit Lake since you're here; it's not far at all.
