This lake is so wonderful. Monitor Peak can be seen from Fish Lake, and there are other sites here than Fish Lake, for example Castle Lake. So many amusing things to do here in the Absaroka Range, too magnificent to be true. If you come at the right time of year, Yellowstone River offers some glorious whitewater, and going for a hike on the Rescue Creek Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful.       Lonesome Pond is a wonderful lake in close proximity to Fish Lake, and nearby you come across the Snowbank Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Fish Lake has to offer, you can camp at Eagle Creek Campground; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Gardiner. Fish Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount                  of precipitation.
