Not much rainfall falls here at First Lake; through June this area sees the most rain while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Saint Marys Lake Campground is always a great experience, and you can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Montana Snowbowl.       If you came to camp Mission Falls Campground is a brilliant location to do that, and if the weather is delightful, you get a tremendous panorama of Glacier Peaks from First Lake. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at First Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's while First Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in                  the 20's. And that's not all you can do here at First Lake. If you get bored of First Lake, you could also stop by nearby Disappointment Lake, and you need to stop at McDonald Glacier while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting First Lake from Missoula, you won't be the only one. Lone Tree Pass is a delightful place to look at, and good hiking is available along the Crow Creek Trail.
