If you desire a little side spree, try Expedition Pass; camping at Rock Creek Campground is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. Alp Lake is a pleasant lake close to Expedition Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Lightning Creek Trail. Summertime highs at Expedition Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in       the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Expedition Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. Very picturesque scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Big Sky, and don’t forget to check out Hilgard Basin if you're here at Expedition Lake.
