If you are in this part of Montana make sure to pay a visit to Evans Lake. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range. A good place right next door to Evans Lake is Cooper Pass; why not camp at Jack Pine Flats Campground while you're here at Evans Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Wonderful Trail is splendid fun, and at Evans Lake you can make out Burke Summit. So many exciting things to do here

some splendid whitewater spots on St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon, and a lake nearby is Revett Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range.

on up to the Bitterroot Range. Going for a hike along the Kyle Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; a splendid spot to camp here at Evans Lake is Denna Mora Campground. A normal amount of rainfall
falls here at Evans Lake; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. Take a hike on the Emma Peak Pack Trail; striking scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Lookout Pass.
