Beautiful Engle Lake has much to offer visitors. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Engle Lake called the Engle Lake Trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try East Fork McKay Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Goat Peak Trail is always a tremendous adventure. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Cabinet Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Libby, and Trout Creek Campground is a pleasant campground

| | nearby. At Engle Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Engle Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Cabinet Mountains. A pleasant visit to Rock Creek Meadows is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon; there are other locations here than Engle Lake, for example Upper Lake. Really magnificent skiing awaits | |

here, and the driest month of the year is July. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Engle Lake. Lakes are such calm sites, why not take a look at Rock Lake near Engle Lake, and from Engle Lake you acquire a great panorama
of Engle Peak. This lake is one of the great places here in the Cabinet Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Vermilion River is a delightful whitewater spot near Engle Lake; Engle Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, North Shore Campground is a great place to camp nearby.

1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho.
