It's always fun to stop by Emerald Lake. Emerald Lake is a location that is quite dried up usually; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Emerald Lake. Get wet paddling on Yellowstone River, and a cool spot to explore is Cupids Heart. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Chisholm is simple to spot from Emerald Lake; Palace Butte Campground is a nice local campground. Get yourself

| | into a kayak and hit Mulherin Creek; there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Pole Gulch Trail. Emerald Lake is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Blackmore Campground is a magnificent site to camp nearby, and do stop by Fridley Lakes, it's a beautiful lake. go skiing at Bridger Bowl while you're here. The warmest time of the year at Emerald Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime
are normally in the 30's while Emerald Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Going for a hike on the Red Rock Trail is always a great adventure, and after a long day outdoors Bozeman - Days Inn is a good
location to spend a night or two. There are great sites to look at along the Pole Gulch Trail; Horsetail Falls is a charming site to stop by while you're at Emerald Lake.
