Summer at Lake Elva comes with high temperatures in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and overnight lows at Lake Elva during the winter ordinarily descend into the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Little Belt Mountains. And if that's not enough there's a load more entertaining things to do in the       Little Belt Mountains. Lake Elva is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Dry Wolf Campground is a brilliant local campground, and from Lake Elva you get a tremendous view of Yogo Peak. Hit the slopes at Showdown close by, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Belt Creek. Lake Elva is close to Lead Gulch which is certainly worth checking out, and dry warm beds await you at Grand Union Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. There's magnificent                  hiking along the Jamison Trail, and a great spot to camp here at Lake Elva is Many Pines Campground. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Lake Elva is so good!.
