The Crazy Mountains scenery is always beautiful. It is very waterless here at Elk Lake mostly; May is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High       temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Elk Lake. Paddling on Big Timber Creek is so much fun. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Elk Lake has to offer, you can camp at Half Moon Campground. It's always perfect to explore Cinnamon Spring. There's so much to do here at Elk Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Solberg's Pine Valley Cabins is a good site for that.                  Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Elk Lake. You're in all probability keen on lakes, Cascade Lake is one of those close by, and here at Elk Lake you can catch a sight of Cinnamon Peak. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Big Timber is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and don't forget to take a great little tour to Blacktail Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
