If you are traveling by, why not stop by Eli Lake. Eli Lake is pretty dry frequently; most of the rain falls during November; August on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The Slimmer Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; Eli Lake is not the only spot close by, Upper Thompson Lake is a close by lake. Hiking along the Sipes Creek Trail is splendid fun; Logan Park Campground is a pleasant local campground.
