Elephant Lake is a nice lake to visit. The amount of rain that falls at Elephant Lake is close to the national average; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest. Here at Elephant Lake you can catch a sight of Castle Rock Mountain, and why not take a little tour to Fivemile Creek while you're here. | | get some rest, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Upper Granite Loop Trail.
Summertime highs at Elephant Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Elephant Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Elephant Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. Castle Rock Glacier is an interesting location
to have a look at while at Elephant Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Rosebud Creek - East offers some perfect whitewater. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Absaroka Range. Elephant Lake is a great
spot to camp, East Rosebud Campground is a great spot, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Copeland Lake Trail.
This site, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Lakes are such calm places, why
not go to Snow Lakes in close proximity to Elephant Lake, and after a long day outdoors Big Moose Resort is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Red Lodge Mountain, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rosebud Creek - West.
