You're most likely keen on lakes, Painted Lake is one of those nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cutoff Trail. At Lake Eglise you don’t see much rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Big Sky, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Madison River. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Paddling on Madison

| | River is so much fun; Lake Eglise is right by the Lightning Creek Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Sawtelle Mountain Resort; do take a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail. Through the summertime months here at Lake Eglise, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Campground 1 since you're here at Lake Eglise, and if you've had enough of Lake Eglise, Hilgard Lake is close by. At Lake Eglise you can observe Dutchman Peak; if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn WEST YELLOWSTONE is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant site to camp here at Lake Eglise is Rock Creek Campground.
