You're most likely keen on lakes, Painted Lake is one of those nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cutoff Trail. At Lake Eglise you don’t see much rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Big Sky, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Madison River. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Paddling on Madison

Dry warm beds await you at Sawtelle Mountain Resort; do take a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail. Through the summertime months here at Lake Eglise, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance.... |
