    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Echo Lake. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Lightning Creek Trail, and if you need a location to stay Madison River Cabins & Rv is a brilliant choice. Take a hike on the Cutoff Trail, and you should definitely dedicate some time to Hilgard Basin if you're here at Echo Lake. Echo Lake gets very little rain; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February.
This lake
 
   is so wonderful. While you're here at Echo Lake you can take a hike along the Wapiti Creek Trail, and the peak of Dutchman Peak can be made out from Echo Lake. For the duration of the summertime, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Echo Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Echo Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Stay the
 
               night at Howlin'mad Moon, and hey, Gotta ski right? Big Sky is a tremendous site to do that. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. There's so much to do here at Echo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rock Creek Campground is a brilliant place for that; after a long day outdoors West Fork Cabins & Rv is a great site to spend a night or two. There are other spots here than Echo Lake, for example Coney Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Madison River offers some splendid whitewater.
Near Echo Lake you hit upon Expedition Pass which is a great place to check out, and glide down the rapids of Madison River in a kayak.
