Echo Lake is always a pleasure to visit. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. During the warm months here at Echo Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 30's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's while Echo Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. An average amount of rainfall falls at Echo Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Dewey is picturesque and can be distinguished from Echo Lake. So much amusing stuff to do at Echo Lake, so little time. Gotta ski! So many enjoyable things to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. Good hiking is available along the Crazy Mountain Trail It's always delightful to stop by Charlie Falls. This site, the Absaroka
Range, has so much outdoors exciting things. There's splendid hiking along the Lake Reno Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone. Stay the night at East Rosebud Campground; the Crazy Lakes Trail
offers hiking at its best.
If you're here at Echo Lake, checking out Phantom Glacier is a must, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rosebud Creek - West.
