This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. East Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Very striking scenery and good skiing is what you get at Lookout Pass, and nearby you hit upon the Windfall Peak Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. High temperatures at East Lake       through the summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at East Lake dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Coeur d'Alene River; going for a hike on the Black Peak Trail is always a delightful adventure. All the outdoors enjoyable things right next door to                  East Lake will keep you coming back many times. Gotta ski! Lookout Pass is a perfect location to do that. East Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Jack Pine Flats Campground is a great local campground; if you get bored of East Lake you could also stop by nearby Ninetythree Mile Lake. All year is a delightful time in the Bitterroot Range if you fancy the outdoors.
