Slide is a pleasant spot to go. Stay the night at Rock Creek Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Cutoff Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff close to Earthquake Lake. Don't leave Earthquake Lake without
first going for a hike along the Lightning Creek Trail, and a fine nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort West Yellowstone Conference. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Danube Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to; in case
you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Madison River. Earthquake Lake is a location that is rather dried out mostly; June is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
