     Camping at Elkhorn is always a nice experience, and there are other sites here than Dudley Lake, for example Deer Lake. A great location to camp here at Dudley Lake is Castle Rock Inn, and skiing at Big Sky is one of those things you just have to do. Dudley Lake gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls during May; February meanwhile is the driest month. Through the long summer days at Dudley Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is  
   down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Dudley Lake.
There's glorious hiking along the Divide Trail. This place, Dudley Lake, it truly has so much outdoors fun stuff. After a long day outdoors Hidden Village is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and splendid hiking is available along the Eldridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful.                of Wilson Peak, and naturally South Fork Hell Roaring Creek is a delightful stream that is worth checking out.
This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Dudley Lake, you'll hit upon Hell Roaring Lake which is a lovely lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Moonlight Basin since you're here. Here at Dudley Lake there are plenty of folks from Bozeman, and if you need a place to stay Spanish Peaks Club is a nice choice. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Gallatin River; hiking is a popular thing to do around Dudley Lake; Wapiti Ridge Trail is a good local trail.

Yellowstone National Park is just 18 miles away with the West Yellowstone entrance only 48 miles south of Big Sky Resort. In the winter take a guided hike around the park. Ride a snow-coach to Old Faithful Lodge and check out the wildlife. Cross- country ski along the Riverside Trail or snowshoe to frozen Mystic Falls near the Upper Geyser Basin.

There?s this really neat hike a few miles away from us in Big Sky. It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance....
