In Montana there are many beautiful lakes, Dude Lake is one of them. So many cool things in close proximity to Dude Lake, absolutely striking. While you're here at Dude Lake, you could also take a look at pretty Bowback Lake. There's so much to do here at Dude Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Jimmy Joe Campground is a brilliant location for that. A good place for whitewater paddling next to Dude Lake is Rosebud Creek - West, and going for a hike on

| | the Upper Granite Loop Trail is always a great adventure. Dude Lake is located in the Absaroka Range.
And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the Absaroka Range. Very pretty scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Red Lodge Mountain, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Beartooth Highlakes Trail. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. | |

A great place like Quinnebaugh Meadows here at Dude Lake is too fine to miss; you can stay the night at East Rosebud Campground. Dude Lake is a good location of typical precipitation; the month of June is the wettest with most of
the rain; October is the month with the least moisture.
If you need a location to stay Lupine Inn Red Lodge is a pleasant choice, and you can go for a hike on the Beauty Lake Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Dude
Lake. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while Dude Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. From Dude Lake you acquire
a brilliant panorama of Elk Mountain.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Rosebud Creek - East, and a good place is Sundance Pass.
