Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kootenai River, and Kilbrennan Lake Campground is a nice local campground. Lynx Creek Flats is a glorious location to stretch your legs a bit, and it's a glorious idea to stop at Callahan Creek. Through the months of summer at Duck Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures       are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Duck Lake sink into the 10's. At Lake Creek Dam right next door to Duck Lake there are some interesting things to see, and hiking along the Pulpit Mountain National Recreation Trail is nice fun. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Goat Mountain Trail, and if you get bored of Duck Lake you could also explore close by Moose Lake.                  Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Duck Lake. Duck Lake is not the only place close by, Slee Lake is a close by lake; if you came for an overnight stay La-vi RV Park is a delightful location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Libby is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and do take a hike on the Grouse Lake Trail. If you need a location to stay Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a wonderful choice. Duck Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest of the months is July.
