Duck Lake is a nice lake to visit. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Stillwater River; if you're here, you could also visit delightful Lagoni Lake. Duck Lake is a location that is pretty dried up typically; the month with most of the rain is June; February is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Duck Lake; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Duck Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. Go for a hike on the Mount Marston National Recreation Trail, and get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater
of Sunday Creek. Going for a hike on the Fort Steele Trail is always a great adventure, and Bull Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail; if you came to camp Martin Falls Campground is a nice site to do that.
