What a nice lake Duck Lake is. This lake is so wonderful. Duck Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Martin Falls Campground is a perfect local campground, and a wonderful lake like Hole in the Wall Lake is a perfect place to take a look at. A good close by hotel is Kandahar Lodge; paddling on Stillwater River is so much fun. Duck Lake gets very little rain; June is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February.  | 10 miles away This is a wonderful place to go hiking, It is a tough 7.5 miles uphill. I took my girlfriend hiking on this trail and we experienced a lush old growth forest, then we journeyed onto the mountain, where most of it was dry, but every once in awhile we ran into a majestic stream, with lush plant life growing around them, the view of lincoln county from on the ridge was amazing, the local Dicky Lake, was as blue as ever, and your eyes were allowed to stretch for miles upon open wilderness. Make sure to bring some food, its an energy waster, and some pepper spray!(mace) we did not encoutner any animal life except for insects and birds, but it is a Grizzly bear region.... |
