A lake nearby is Clam Lake, and there's tremendous hiking along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. Don't leave Dreary Lake without first going for a hike along the Republic Trail, and camping at Chippy Park Campground is always a good experience. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Dreary Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly       in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Dreary Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. Jordan Pass is in close proximity to Dreary Lake and is a nice site; in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder River. If you get bored of Dreary Lake, you could also visit nearby                  Trouble Lake; you can go for a hike on the Lodgepole Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Absaroka Range for a tremendous time. If you need a site to stay Super 8 Big Timber is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Chalice Peak can be spotted from Dreary Lake, and Dreary Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Hells Canyon Campground is a perfect local campground.
