Dreary Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Dreary Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Dreary Lake are in the 10's. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Dreary Lake. Dreary Lake is brilliant enough to spend       more than a day at, Chippy Park Campground is a brilliant local campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Dreary Lake; Lodgepole Trail is a great local trail. Jordan Pass is a good site to discover, and the Republic Trail offers hiking at its best. At Dreary Lake you don’t see much rainfall; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. All year is a delightful time in the Absaroka Range if you                  fancy the outdoors. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder River, and Dreary Lake is right by the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Big Timber, and the peak of Chalice Peak can be seen from Dreary Lake. There's so much to do here at Dreary Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hells Canyon Campground is a glorious place for that; you're almost certainly keen on lakes, Barrier Lake is one of those nearby.
