This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. The annual rainfall here at Doris Lakes is about average; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. You'll stumble on a stunning lake called Jenny Lake near Doris Lakes, and if you haven’t been to Glacier National Park, you must schedule some time for it while you're here. There's no       way anyone can get bored here in the Lewis Range. A delightful lake like Fawn Lake close to Doris Lakes is a splendid spot to check out, and if you need a site to stay Bad Rock B&B is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. Near Doris Lakes you stumble on the Doris Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Flathead River - Middle Fork. Get wet paddling on Swan River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything                  Doris Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Crooked Tree Motel and RV Park. Having a delightful time at Doris Lakes is trouble-free. A round of golf at nearby Mountain Crossroads Restaurant & Golf Club is a pleasant way to kill some time, and there are splendid places to discover along the Alpine Trail. You're sure to encounter some good people from Kalispell here. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Doris Lakes you can make out Blaine Mountain, and Doris Lakes is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Hungry Horse Campground is a glorious place to camp nearby. The warmest time of the year at Doris Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Doris Lakes. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Lewis Range, not enough time.
