You'll need more than a day to look at everything Doris Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Mountain Meadow RV Park and Campground; Mountain Crossroads Restaurant & Golf Club is a golf course nearby. Be careful coming to Doris Lakes, you might not ever want to return back home again. Hiking along the Columbia Mountain Trail is wonderful fun; Doris Lakes is a great location       to camp, Hungry Horse Campground is a great location. Be careful coming to the Lewis Range, you might not ever want to return home again. Nearby lakes? Sure, Fawn Lake is next to Doris Lakes, and Flathead River - Middle Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby. Going for a hike along the Alpine Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; Glacier Park Super 8 Motel is a wonderful place to get some rest. This lake is one of the great places                  here in the Lewis Range. That right there is heaps of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Lewis Range has it all. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swan River; after a long day outdoors Bad Rock B&B is a great place to spend a night or two. From Doris Lakes you get a wonderful vista of Blaine Mountain, and there are plenty of folks from Kalispell here at Doris Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Doris Creek Trail, and don't miss out on a spree to Glacier National Park while you're here. High temperatures at Doris Lakes through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Doris Lakes temperatures plunge to the 10's.
