The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Donelson Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Donelson Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. There's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and there's brilliant hiking along the Upper Granite Loop Trail. Yeah, come here to Donelson       Lake for a brilliant time. You can run the rapids of Rosebud Creek - East close to Donelson Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Donelson Lake; Beartooth Highlakes Trail is a great local trail. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range, too tremendous to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Yodeler Motel, and Hopper Glacier is a great spot to pop by while in the neighborhood. Donelson Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day,                  Top Of The World Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Cloverleaf Lakes is just a very short distance away. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Red Lodge Mountain, and the Clay Butte Trail offers hiking at its best. From a rainfall point of view Donelson Lake is a quite normal site; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is October.
