Why not camp at Chief Joseph Campground while you're here       at Dollar Lake, and the vista of charming Oxide Mountain is good. Dollar Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. Summertime highs at Dollar Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Dollar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Dollar Lake is Fox Creek Campground, and drift down the                  rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone in a kayak. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Dollar Lake. Take a hike on the Pilot Creek Trail; swing by Farley Creek it's a glorious place to pop by. An average amount of rainfall falls at Dollar Lake; during June this area sees the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back again and again.
