During the summertime, highs regularly are in the 70's at Dollar Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 30's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Dollar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Dollar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fox Creek Campground is a nice location for that,       and get soaked paddling on Rosebud Creek - West. Be careful coming to Dollar Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a pleasant choice, and Dollar Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Chief Joseph Campground is a tremendous local campground. The summit of Oxide Mountain can be seen from Dollar Lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Crazy Lakes Trail. These                  mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone is so much fun, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Pilot Creek Trail. Some of the water close by flows, like Farley Creek, and you'll come across a scenic lake called Little Molar Lake. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka Range. On a magnificent day at Dollar Lake you can take a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail, and do check out Boulder Lakes, it's a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. The annual precipitation here at Dollar Lake is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October.
