If you like lakes and you're in this part of Montana you can check out Dollar Lake. Beaver Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit, and a day on the slopes of Big Mountain is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Kalispell. Summertime at Dollar Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Dollar Lake are in the 10's. is a popular thing to do around Dollar Lake; Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail is a good local trail; you'll locate a scenic lake called Beaver Lake.
The Micho Trail offers hiking at its best. You'll need more than a
day to discover everything Dollar Lake has to offer, you can camp at Les Mason Campground. If you come at the right time of year, Stillwater River offers some splendid whitewater; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course
like Whitefish Lake Golf Club. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flathead River - Middle Fork; a tremendous panorama of charming Lion Mountain is available.
This lake is so wonderful.
There's so much to do here at Dollar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whitefish RV Park is a delightful place for that, and a glorious nearby hotel is Kristianna Mountain Homes. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable
stuff close to Dollar Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Blacktail Mountain is near Dollar Lake, and a journey to Beaver Bay is always a magnificent idea.
