Go for a hike on the Gold Creek Trail, and Chain Lake is a delightful lake nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Pioneer Mountains. The vista of Alturas Number Two Mountain from Dollar Lake is beautiful. Dollar Lake is located in the Pioneer Mountains. Throughout the days of summer at Dollar Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 30's.       For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Dollar Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Lakes? Sure, Twin Lakes is around here, and some of the water close by flows, like Estler Creek. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Dollar Lake. There is a tremendous hiking trail next to Dollar Lake called the Rhubarb Patch Trail, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn                  Dillon is a good place to spend a night or two. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Pioneer Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dollar Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dinner Station Campground; Tub Lake Dam is a charming spot, absolutely worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Driveway Trail is always a good adventure. There's so much to do here at Dollar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mono Creek Campground is a tremendous place for that.
