The scenery at Ayers Dam in close proximity to Doggett Reservoir is pretty, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Great Falls here. So many exciting things to do in the Big Belt Mountains, not enough time. There are brilliant spots to look at along the Deep Creek Figure 8 Loop National Recreation Trail, and Elk Creek is right next door to Doggett Reservoir and is always a diversion       to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Skidway Campground, and going for a hike on the Divide Trail is always a nice adventure. Doggett Reservoir is located in the Big Belt Mountains. Not far from Doggett Reservoir, you'll hit upon Stoyanoff Lake which is a lovely lake, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tenderfoot Creek. Doggett Reservoir is commonly a reasonably dry place; June is the                  month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. So many exciting things to do at Doggett Reservoir, so little time. If you came for an overnight stay Conestoga Campground is a good place to camp. All through the days of summer highs here at Doggett Reservoir get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
