Montana has many beautiful lakes and Dog Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. McCabe Meadow is a tremendous place to check out, and Upper Stillwater Lake is a magnificent lake nearby. Don't leave Dog Lake without first going for a hike along the Tally Mountain Billy Creek Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Stillwater River.

| | would winter be without some skiing at Big Mountain. Be careful coming to Dog Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. If you came to camp Upper Stillwater Campground is a great spot to do that, and here at Dog Lake you can observe Dog Mountain. Go for a hike on the Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail, and Kristianna Mountain Homes is a brilliant location to get some rest.

or two, and there's whitewater on Sunday Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. At Dog Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest month is February. During the summertime months at Dog Lake
temperatures are mostly in the 80's; the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Dog Lake tend to be in the
10's.
There's so much to do here at Dog Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dog Creek Campground is a pleasant location for that, and swing by Martin Creek it's a nice site to have a look at.
