     A lake close by is Lake Elbert, also Conehead Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. North Fork South Creek flows through this area, and if you get bored of Dodge Reservoir you could also stop at nearby Last Chance Reservoir. Dodge Reservoir is commonly a relatively dried up place; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
