Not much precipitation falls here at Diversion Lake; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is February. And that's not all there is to do here in the Lewis Range. A splendid location to camp here at Diversion Lake is Home Gulch Campground; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the South Fork Teton-Blacktail National Recreation Trail. Just can't get enough       of the Lewis Range. Very good water scenery is available at Sun River Diversion Dam near Diversion Lake. Diversion Lake is a beautiful lake in the Lewis Range. Just can't get enough of Diversion Lake. A good place like Wagner Basin here at Diversion Lake is too good to miss; if you get bored of Diversion Lake you could also check out nearby Red Lake. A lake close by is Gibson Reservoir; camping is available at Mortimer Gulch Campground. The summit                  of Castle Reef can be observed from Diversion Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Mortimer Gulch National Recreation Trail. The warmest time of the year at Diversion Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Diversion Lake dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
