A perfect place to camp here at Diversion Lake is Mortimer Gulch Campground, and close by you come across the Mortimer Gulch National Recreation Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Not much precipitation falls here at Diversion Lake; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. That right there is loads of cool       things already but it goes on, the Lewis Range has it all. The top of Castle Reef is easily seen from Diversion Lake. The warmest time of the year at Diversion Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Diversion Lake. So much amusing stuff near Diversion Lake, absolutely unbelievable. Looking for something in the vicinity                  of Diversion Lake? Gibson Reservoir is close by, and close by you come across Hannan Gulch which is a good spot to visit. Camping at Home Gulch Campground is always a brilliant experience, and going for a hike on the South Fork Teton-Blacktail National Recreation Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Be careful coming to the Lewis Range, you might not ever want to go home again. Why not have a look at Sun River Diversion Dam if you're here, and you can go for a hike on the Ford Willow Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
